The Nordic Spitz Dog
also known as Norbottenspets

Known in its native Sweden as Norrbottenspets, The Nordic Spitz is a medium size breed, very clean with no doggy odor, and a quiet house dog.

Averaging 20-30 pounds when grown and 16-18 inches tall at the shoulders, the breed was developed as a hunting dog and requires a moderate amount of exercise. Look through the breed information on this site, and contact us if you have any questions. We love to talk about our beautiful dogs!

The Nordic Spitz is registered with the UKC (United Kennel Club) and (CKC) Canadian Kennel Club. We are recognized by the AKC (American Kennel Club Foundation Stock Service.

Announcement. Norrbottenspets were admitted to the AKC Miscellaneous class Jan. 1, 2014. They can be shown now in performance classes like Obedience, Rally, Lure Coursing etc.

We have been raising and showing dogs for over 30 years. In the past we have owned and shown Shih Tzu, Toy Fox Terriers and Tibetan Spaniels. Our puppies are raised in the house with us and have started their training before they go to their new home. We are located in Southern California.
